Darlene founded Distinctive Designs with her husband (William Skeens), after working the kitchen and bath industry for a number of years. She is a Nationally Certified Kitchen designer (CKD), a Nationally Certified Bath Designer (CBD), and is licensed by the state of Illinois as a Registered Interior Designer.

The team at Distinctive Design are a fantastic group to work with. They listened to my ideas, suggested some alternatives that greatly improved my ideas and designed a perfect kitchen. I was not able to be at my home (due to Covid) so they oversaw the entire project and communicated with me regularly and answered any e-mails or phone calls promptly and efficiently. You should definitely talk to them before undertaking any design project - they have great resources for products, too.
