We worked with RIKB for our kitchen remodel and had a wonderful experience! Our designer, Kelly May, helped us create a kitchen we absolutely love with some design elements we wouldn't have thought of ourselves. She thought of every detail and kept us updated throughout the process. We were also so impressed with our primary contractor, Larry, who went above and beyond in so many ways to deliver our vision. The whole team was incredibly professional - I'd recommend them to anyone!

So expensive/overpriced for a VERY small remodel. I sincerely thought the consultant made an error and almost laughed until I realized she was serious. I am neither poor nor cheap but I do know something about the cost of remodeling and their estimate was way out of line - still not sure if there was a mistake in the quote I was given. In any case, I will say if you have money to burn this is the place - they have a beautiful showroom and quality products to offer and I am sure they do a great job with construction and installation (at least they should for the prices they are charging) but for the average, mid-income salary, the cost for a small remodel, in my opinion, is neither reasonable or a good investment.

We designed our home and we chose RIKB for our cabinets in our kitchen, bar area, bathroom and pantry. We worked closely with Brittany. She is THE BEST! She took care of everything, helped me with design elements, she has great communication and follow through. basically I trusted her completely. Our kitchen is amazing, all of it is beautiful. Could not and would not want to have done this without her. We highly recommend Brittany & RIKB.

When you first walk into the showroom, don't be put off if you are met with people who seem to be a little starched. This is something the company may think about as an opportunity to improve. Ask to meet with a designer. If you can, sign up for one of their incredibly worthwhile seminars. Great designers and terrific ideas. Now, our experience over the past two years: 2.5 bathrooms and a kitchen.
The bathrooms were our first project, and then we were so happy with our "A Team", we had to move on to our kitchen! I couldn't dream of more beautiful rooms that are exactly what we wanted and more! We worked with Billie S, the best designer I have ever worked with and I'm no newbie to this! Billie is vibrant and full of fresh, current ideas. She took her time to thoughtfully grill us about our likes, dislikes and was not happy with selections until she could sense our excitement!
She was flexible with her time and mode of contact. She can make miracles happen with most any budget. Her communication skills and timeliness were excellent. A pleasant Type A personality. Ask for Billie! Our Project Lead In House was Mike A. Even though he rarely came onsite, he always had a pulse on what was happening, or needed to happen in our home.
Truly an asset to this company. I would bet I would have more to write about him, had things gone wrong. They went smoothly, hence, so few works. Lastly, or On Site Project Manager: Jim L. I am telling you, we received more compliments about him and the people he supervises. We live in a condo, and the other residents commented on how quiet and neat they were throughout the entire process. Jim is very, very conscientious and particular about quality and timelines.
His work is some of the best we and our friends have ever seen. Please ask for him when you sign up for your project after Billie has helped you design your new home dreams! I would be happy to have you see what they built for us, and also speak with you live. When you visit RIKB, ask Billie S, and she will make an arrangement for us to connect.

Our experience with RI Kitchen and Bath was an incredibly positive one. From the first meeting my husband and I had with Billie and Kingsley (the design team) to renovate our guest bathroom until the completed project (delivered on time), our experience could not have been better. RIKB is an extremely well-run company. From the design details, product selection, finalizing the pricing, detailed plans of the project, clear and transparent contract agreement, pre-construction meetings, making sure all materials needed have been received and inspected, providing us with a written schedule of the construction timeline and then completing the project with great professionalism and craftsmanship, we cannot say enough about the company and the people who work there.
My husband and I decided to renovate a guest bathroom in our 1960's ranch house. Billie and Kingsley (our design team) made sure they understood our wants and needs and came up with three wonderful designs for our bathroom that reflected their listening and design skills. We picked the design that best met our needs and the style of our home. They also did an excellent job of assisting us with choosing the materials and accessories needed for the project and made sure we stayed within our stated budget.
Once all of the materials were received and the project started, our project manager, Scott, was on site every day, working on the project himself and coordinating other contractors who were needed for the renovation. Scott was friendly, professional and extremely skilled. When he couldn't come one day due a sickness, he came in on a Saturday to make sure the project could be completed on time.
By the end of the project, it felt like Scott was part of our family because of his personable nature and warmth. He was even nice to our neurotic German Shepard and always did an excellent job of cleaning up before he left the job site. Before the project started, we received a detailed schedule of construction. I am delighted to say the project was completed on time. We are extremely happy with the completed product and would wholeheartedly recommend RIKB to anyone who is looking to renovate their kitchen or bathroom.

Working with Rhode Island Kitchen and Bath was a real pleasure. Not only did they make me feel important as their customer, but they were there for me every step of the way. There are a lot of choices that need to be made when remodeling your kitchen. Their extensive product knowledge and advice made the process go smoothly. I will definitely use them for my next project, as well as recommend them to family and friends.

RIKB has a beautiful showroom that is well worth visiting to see the latest design trends executed flawlessly. Even though my project was a small one, Director of Design Prudence Stoddard showed herself to be a seasoned professional. Her design advice and RIKB's customer service were outstanding. Highly recommended!

In the fall of 2014, we had our kitchen entirely redesigned and rebuilt by the talented professionals of Rhode Island Kitchen & Bath. All of the decisions we made from the choice of hardwood floors, to the custom cabinets, to the stunning quartzite counter tops were ours, but chosen from carefully selected presentations by designer Lynne Shore. With her guidance, it was virtually impossible to make a wrong choice.
After just a few consultations at the RIKB showroom and visits to our home, Lynne was able to artfully assess our lifestyle and guide the creative process in a complementary direction. The RIKB team's superb project management ensured that the project started and finished on time and most importantly on budget. All of the craftsmen who worked in our home during this project were highly professional and highly skilled.
We now have a beautiful kitchen of which we are immensely proud. There are not enough positive superlatives to describe our experience with Rhode Island Kitchen & Bath. Thank you Lynne Shore and the entire RIKB team!

This review is going to cover 2 main aspects of our experience with RIKB. Firstly the design and build experience in May/June 2013 was very good. Prudence, our designer, was excellent, and did a great job with our design. However, her initial estimate of the cost of the kitchen project was significantly off from the final cost (about 25%); while some of the difference had to do with items we choose to go with (eg, tile and cabinets), it was disappointing we ended up paying so much more, esp since it was hard to go back once the design plans were well underway.
The job itself was done very well by our project manager, Jim. He did very good work, updated us well, and the job was completed basically on schedule, (maybe a couple days after their projected completion date) which was a pleasant surprise. The kitchen looked great when it was completed, and we loved it. However, some issues have arisen since the job was done.
We have had issues with our painted wood cabinets chipping and showing some wear and tear after only a few months. They came out and fixed the issue once but it continues. As we understand now, these types of cabinets are more prone to do this, BUT that should have been explained better as we were making our choices. To their credit, they just had a representative from the cabinet company come out to look things over and hopefully provide a remedy, but we will see what happens.
I should point out that there are no kids or pets banging up against these cabinets! More significantly, we began having issues with 3 of the doors involved in the project. They sent one of their finish carpenters, Richard, to address/fix the issues. Basically, he mostly poo-pooed the concerns, made excuses, and only "fixed" one issue by putting a wood shim over our espresso tile--a very unprofessional looking "solution".
After my wife made an appropriately big fuss on their facebook page, our designer, their quality control manager, and their president contacted me. Jim, our original project manager, and the quality control manager did come out a few days later, and were able to remedy/fix what the other guy said was not an issue! they still have some other things to remedy, but hopefully will be out soon to take care of these other issues, as well they should given their 5 year warranty on their work.
In sum, very good design/build experience, though you definitely pay a higher price. However, some quality issues after the job was done, which they are trying to remedy, but it should not have taken the angst it took to get these issues addressed.

We should like to take this opportunity to thank RIKB for their hard work and professionalism in our recent kitchen remodel. Our original idea was to replace our countertops but we decided to go further with a pull and replace of cabinets and counters. Our designer, Sabrina O'Meara is a true professional. She took time to get to know us and could determine our style and make recommendations based on what she gleaned and she was spot on each and every time.
We are more than pleased with her insight and guidance to get our kitchen updated. She has a wonderful personality and it was fun to work with her. Special thanks to our Project Manager, Jim LaBonte who was on site every day, always on time, extremely knowledgeable, and personable and I agree that he should be cloned. Thanks also to Rich Kingsbury for his hard work.
He and Jim made flawless modifications to our cabinet in order to fit our new wall oven. He also has great taste in music. All of the contractors (electricians, painter/plasterers, tile installers, plumbers, countertop specialists) were a pleasure to work with and they all left the site clean. I highly recommend RIKB without any hesitation whatsoever and will certainly use them again for our next project, which will be a master bath rehab.
