Threw curve after curve at them - slope the floor toward the center from all walls - and it can't be noticeable; put a cover that doesn't look like a cover over the center drain in the floor; and make the room look welcoming and warm. It took some time - all planned, and the result was awesome. Price was what the job was worth - perhaps a bit low for what we got, and the result was worth a heck of a lot more than we paid. These folks are masters, and obviously care about what they leave behind.

Awful experience with Jud tile. a 2 week bathroom remodel went into 2 months. They installed the wrong tile, we picked tile from a showroom demo, and they said sure and signed the contract and then proceeded to install the wrong tile. They hired a subcontractor to do the tile and the team incorrectly installed tile on a wall, had to be torn up and replaced. used dry saw instead of wet saw, They incorrectly installed a floor heater that had to be replaced. Meanwhile the owner lives in Deal and never shows up after contract signed. DO not use this company.

Jud Tile has provided creativity, quality workmanship, and professional guidance in needed changes in our home. Key projects are 1) conversion of an indoor pool and spa to a sunroom, 2) conversion of the sunroom shower area to be handicap accessible, and 3) conversion of master bedroom shower to be handicap accessible. Due to the effects of pool chemicals on the fieldstone floor and medical issues, we decided to remove the pool and spa and create a pleasant sunroom. Jud Tile worked with us on room design, tile selection, and fireplace design.
Their work was excellent and precise. (Reference picture # 1) At the time the sunroom was constructed, we did not include upgrading the shower to handicapped accessible. When that time came, they led us through the design and selection of the tile and hardware. Their design was excellent, and the installation was precise. They did all that was necessary to have the room ready before scheduled holiday parties. (Reference picture # 2) The conversion of the master bath shower to handicapped accessible was a tough design problem.
The original tile and its deco tile are no longer available. To avoid replacement of all of the floor tile in the bathroom, they created a carpet tile and re-grouted the existing tile to create a smooth transition. This creativity avoided the need to replace all of the bathroom tiles. An additional problem was that our master tub had deco tile that detracted from the new tile.
Their professional installer removed that deco tile with no damage to adjacent tiles and installed new deco tile that was used in the shower. (Reference pictures # 3, 4, & 5) Our experience is that they are excellent problem solvers, professional designers, precise installers, and deep concern for the satisfaction of the customer.

I hired Jud Tile to redo my downstairs bathroom in 2017. The bathroom turned out spectacular as you can see in the attached picture. Jud suggested the "knee wall" and his staff was most helpful with the tile selection. The workmen were very polite, careful and on time. I was so pleased with the bathroom results I hired them to redo my hall and laundry room in 2018. I would definitely recommend Jud Tile and plan to use them for my future projects.

Jud came to the house and spent time offering suggestions while being very responsive to my own tastes and needs. We then spent an hour at his showroom discussing specific design ideas. He then delivered three proposals. I am thoroughly happy with the work done by his crew retiling our bath. I'm glad I chose this company and will likely be working with them on other projects.

I recently had a basement bathtub removed in order to correct a ground water issue caused by a broken interior perimeter drain. In order to remove the tub six rows of tiles had to be removed. The water issue was corrected by Northern Virginia Waterproofing and the bathtub removal and re-install was handled by Caffi plumbing. The work by those companies was outstanding. Jud Tile was in charge of repairing my tile.
They arrived in a timely manner and with the upmost care prepped my bathroom. They installed new cement board and matched my original tiles and layout. The Jud Tile employee - Oscar - was thorough and professional. His work was beyond good; it was spectacular. Looking at the finished product one would not believe that just a couple of days ago that bathroom was stripped down to the cinderblock looking sorrowful. I highly recommended Jud Tile for any bathroom and kitchen remodeling project and will use them again.

The Jud Tile crews were dedicated and their workmanship standards very high. We especially appreciated that when we experienced a pipe leak the week BEFORE they were scheduled to renovate our bathroom, they came out early, diagnosed and corrected the leak, and started right in on conducting the renovation! They also set it up so that we could safely shower in our new curbless shower stall, even before the glass walls were installed, which we greatly appreciated. All of our fussy concerns were promptly addressed. We can't recommend them any more highly. - Jim & Letty on Capitol Hill

This shop is a gem in Vienna! I bought tile here twice, once for a kitchen backsplash and once for a sunroom floor. The selection is huge and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The showroom is beautiful and full of inspiration. All-in-all, it was a great experience. I highly recommend it!

One of the most terrible experiences. I was helped by an unsupervised salesman named Steve working his first day. He ordered the wrong tile. Hey, it happens. But when I called to remedy the situation, I was flatly told that I was to blame since the invoice didn't specify the options of the showroom tile they showed me. I don't work there so I'm not sure how I'm supposed to know that.
After giving them several chances to treat me like a human they basically told me to kick rocks. If I wanted them to remedy the situation, well, I'd just have to go ahead and pay for a whole new order of tile. So, here I am with an order of tile I cannot use, out the money, and no solution. Silver lining: I purchased with my Am Ex so I'm going to dispute the claim and get my money returned anyway.

I'm surprised by all of the reviews that mention the good service because my experience was the opposite. I was helped by a nice enough guy, who showed me tile options from the showroom. He ordered my selection for me. There was no miscommunication: the correct sample was sitting on the desk between us. He mentioned it was his first day on the job but I figured that, since he was left by himself to take orders, he'd know how to fill out the invoice.
When the order was delivered, it wasn't the right tile. Mistakes happen, not a huge deal. The problem is what happened next. When I called to let them know, they basically told me they could do nothing for me other than to send the tile back to the factory in Brazil and have them treat the tile so that it would look like the tile I ordered. Then the factory (again: in Brazil) could send it back.
I told them I didn't have that kind of time -- this tile is for a restaurant project that is already under the gun time-wise. The next "option" they offered me was for me to place and pay for an entirely new order. Huh? A really bizarre conversation ensued in which I was told that "you have to check the tile before you install it." Um, right. That's why I'm calling.
I opened the box and noticed it's wrong. It has not been installed. Then I was told that they couldn't do anything because I placed the order two months ago. Again, right. The box was at the job site, waiting for the project to be far enough along to where tiling could begin. Basically: they made excuse after excuse about why they could not help me for the order they placed wrongly.
The only help they could give me was to make me pay for an entirely new order. In sum: they messed up my order and left me high and dry. I will order the right tile from another supplier and dispute the Jud Tile charge on AmEx. Stay away from this place.

This place made me happy. I have been looking for the perfect stacked stone for a feature wall in my kitchen and was about to pull my hair out UNTIL I found it here. Not only did this place have some things i hadn't seen in at least 7 other tile stores, their service was fantastic. The lady that helped us was very knowledgeable about all the tiles we inquired about.
She was even able to find a picture of the tile we wanted installed which helped us make the decision quite easily. We'll be ordering our tile here and will make this a FIRST stop instead of 8th in the future!

These guys were great. Jud came to do the estimate and it was obvious he knows what he's doing. He had great suggestions and helped me solve a problem with installing a new toilet flange in the concrete floor. They did the tile work on three bathrooms and did a fantastic job. Hector was great and the work was meticulous. Jud saved me about $1,000 over other quotes I had received.
