Everyone else wanted to sell you a set of cabinets. They have you pick a cabinet, make a quote, and give you a price. We use a set of cabinets as a starting point, and together we create your kitchen or bath. We believe it is just as important how our clients are treated before, during, and most importantly after the sale. We understand that buying and installing a kitchen or bath can be confusing, difficult, and risky.
This may be your once-in-a-lifetime remodeling or construction! At Thomson Select Cabinets, we have developed a process to simplify your remodeling project and minimize your stress.

There should be an option for no stars. I can't imagine the process of remodeling a kitchen going any worse than it did with TSC. Project Manager (who is also 50% owner) is great until the contract is signed then completely disengages. Orders the wrong size cabinets, leaves boxes out, has to re-order causing weeks of delays, hires a demo crew that helped themselves to the tools from my garage including a reciprocating saw that ended up cutting through electrical home runs instead of just 1/2 of drywall, gives subcontractors incomplete information, isn't on-site to do any sort of quality control, and leaves you to deal with all of the mess and mistakes. Promises things will be taken care of and then can't take care of them or won't.
Never shows up to the job site after the initial consult, where he records inaccurate measurements, except when he had to bring his cabinet rep out because most of the wooden upper cabinets had screw and staple blowouts from construction. Treats you like you are the problem via condescending emails. Even at present, this kitchen remodel that commenced nearly five months ago, is still incomplete.
There are drawers and doors that do not close properly, which I pointed out immediately after they were installed, and was assured on multiple occasions not to worry because they would be corrected at the time hardware was installed. That was weeks ago and I have been bugging them about fixing them. Today, his assistant called me to make me aware that those are actually warranty issues and he has been informed that they will not address them until they receive the last $400 I owe them. Horrible customer service aside, their pricing for quartz and granite countertops were more than double what I found on my own from another company. If you're considering using TSC, just don't.

For the Initial at Home Consultation - Ted was on time, came prepared with broachers, and committed to providing an estimate in a week and design drawing in two weeks for built-in cabinets in the laundry room and office. In addition to the consultation, we provided our cabinet requirement in an email along with concept pictures. Estimate never came and Ted was a bit slow and elusive with responses to our follow up emails and requested that we come in to the showroom to review the design.
We ended scheduling the apt, took time off from work, and drove 30 min to the showroom. When we arrived at the showroom, the door was open but no one was there to meet us (little odd). We walked through the showroom looking for someone and ending up finding someone in one of the back offices. She told us that she does not work at the showroom or for ted; she was just using the office (little odd).
We waited 15 min and drove home 30 min. I sent him an email to let him know the we came but he was a no show and it was rude for him to make an apt but not be there. He did respond to our email after the fact to let us know that he was running late and that we should have waited. Really?

I was working to finish up a kitchen remodel and was missing a few drawer faces, which ended up being somewhat of an odd size. Thomson went out of their way to help me locate and order new drawers, even though there was nearly no profit for them. For my next remodel, I'll definitely be getting my cabinets and everything else from them. They also have a nice showroom and are full of great ideas.
