Please avoid Richard Faltz the scam artist at all cost. I don't even know where to begin. A fire happened at my house contained to the front porch only, in June. It is now December and our home still isn't finished nor is Richard Faltz answering the phone or returning our calls. His name was on a list of contractors provided by State Farm and somebody in my family thought it was a genius idea to pick the first person on the list. Because, my family was in such a rush to get the work completed we are severely paying for it now.
This man has told us several things and denied saying that he said it. For example, he said that he would sand our original floors under the carpet at no additional cost; he then turned around and said he never said that, it would cost an additional 2k. He gave an estimate to StateFarm and forgot to add our two front windows which were completely burnt and our back door because apparently he didn't see it. Richard Faltz saw a historic vehicle in our backyard and offered to sand our hardwood floors in exchange for the vehicle.
I was floored at the proposition. We picked out doors front/back and windows. This man showed up with the total opposite of what we chose and said "well do you have the extra money to pay" now the problem is he short changed himself in the estimate. And he cut corners in every way. He didn't even give us the option to pay. He also tore down our woodwork and left the garbage in our front yard for 6 weeks.
He only replaced half of our front porch. They packed up our living room and quite a few of our antiques are missing. This has been a nightmare. Don't do business with this man, he's a crook, a liar and a overall messed up person. We are in our 5th month and our home still isn't complete. We also haven't spoken to him since 10/28. Today is December 3rd
